There’s a new housing option coming to the Iwilei area for seniors.
A ground breaking ceremony was held Friday for a new senior residence at Iwilei.
It’s a 160 unit affordable rental development.
The state, City, and Pacific Housing Assistance Corporation worked together on the project.
Among the features are an adult day care center and community services office. It’s expected to open in 2014.
