Some big names in baseball could be in the lineup of potential witnesses for the Roger Clemens perjury case.
Prosecutors said Monday they might call former players Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco. Defense lawyers also said they could call former Clemens teammates Paul O’Neill, Jorge Posada and Mike Stanton.
A larger team of prosecutors is in place for the second trial of Clemens, accused of lying to Congress when he denied using performance-enhancing drugs.
The first trial ended in a mistrial last summer.
