The state is looking at ways it can help Kalihi residents after being warned that more boulders could come crashing down from a nearby mountainside.
According to the governor’s office, the chairman of the Land and Natural Resources Department and the State Adjutant General have held discussions about how the state can assist.
The governor’s administration is also seeking assurance from state lawmakers that funding would be available to stabilize the situation.
Three homes were damaged when several boulders fell from what was determined to be private property.
