Off the news: Airports short on TSA agents, long on lines

Short-staffing at Transportation Security Administration checkpoints has developed at airports nationwide as a partial shutdown of the federal government continues. Over the weekend, lines grew long enough to add hours to the time required for passing through security at airports in Houston, New Orleans and Charlotte, N.C.
