Editorial: Time to woo back Canadians, eh?

A bill creating an “unofficial ambassador” to Canada is moving through the state Legislature — and on first gander the reaction is puzzlement. The state has little money to spare for a new, titled advocate for the charms of Hawaii, and the legislation places the position within the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism — which also administers the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA).
