Maui doctor testifies he hit wife in self-defense

Gerhardt Konig took the stand Wednesday in his attempted murder trial, speaking quickly, in a friendly tone, addressing jurors and looking at them directly as he explained how he learned of his wife’s affair and what led up to him striking her in the head with a rock on her 36th birthday on March 24, 2025.
