Letter: Act on realistic sea level rise predictions

It’s commendable that the authors of “Don’t erode Hawaii’s sea-level protections” agree with the IPCC that the climate scenario RCP8.5 should no longer be used for planning (Star-Advertiser, Island Voices, Aug. 16). But the authors now promulgate sea level rise (SLR) of roughly 3.8 feet (rounded to 4 feet) from 2000 to 2100.
