Instability aloft plus some incoming showery clouds and afternoon heating may create conditions for the slight chance of thunderstorms and possibly heavy rain Sunday and Monday. There might also be the need for winter weather advisories for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. As the upper-level trough and low depart, our weather with stabilize around mid-week. The tradewinds are blowing but in the 5-15 mph range. They will strengthen mid-week as we return to more normal tradewind weather, though a bit breezy at the end of the week and into next weekend.
