For the first time in Saint Francis School’s history, girls and boys took part in the annual candle-rose ceremony.
The class of 2012 is made up of 53 students, and is the last all-girl graduating class for the school since opening in 1924. Next year’s graduating class currently has 80 students, 22 of them boys.
Tradition calls for the juniors to receive candles in paper cups from the seniors, while the juniors present the seniors with red crosses.
