Robots compete for top spot in underwater challenge

Robots dove into the Pearl Harbor Richardson pool Saturday for the Hawaii underwater robot challenge.

24 elementary, middle and high school teams competed to take the top spot.

They had to make their robot check on a simulated shipwreck and decide what to do if oil was still on board..

This year’s winner is Kailua High School. They go on to next month’s International championships in Orlando, Florida.
