The Coast Guard and Honolulu Fire Department rescue crews are continuing their search for a missing free diver.

According to Coast Guard officials, 50-year-old Christopher Nee entered Kailua Bay to dive with a friend at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday.

His friend emerged from the dive at approximately 8 p.m. and noticed the missing man’s car was still in the parking lot.

Rescue crews searched the area, with the Coast Guard searching through the night, but no sign of Nee was found.

He was last seen wearing a black wet suit top, red swim trunks and carrying a blue and white boogie board with a dive flag.

Officials say he is an experienced free diver.
