Kauai is receiving 400-thousand dollars in federal funding to help with clean-up and recovery efforts following severe storms in March.
The U.S Labor Department announced the National Emergency grant today.
The money will allow the state to create 20 temporary jobs for dislocated workers who will help with the clean-up.The storm caused damaging floods and landslides.Last month FEMA declared Kauai eligible for its public assistance program.
