Health officials say the white Styrofoam that washed ashore in Barber’s Point is not a health risk to humans.
Crews picked up large pieces and are "vacuuming" the smaller pieces from the shoreline and tide pools.
DLNR officials say whatever is left over will sink and become part of sediment that will not pose environmental hazards.
Official say the Styrofoam is used as part of a floating dock system, but they do not know which marina it came from.
