Sew a lei for Memorial Day

The public is invited to bring their lunch and join in a lei sewing get together to meet the goal of collecting 50,000 lei for Memorial Day.

About 50,000 lei are needed annually to be placed on the gravesites of veterans at the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific for the Memorial Day ceremony, as well as other veterans’ markers on Oahu.

The Royal Hawaiian Band Glee Club will perform during the lei sewing.

When: FRIDAY, MAY 25, 2015 – 11 A.M. TO 1 P.M.
Where: Honolulu Hale courtyard, 530 S. King Street
