Deedy case information could possibly be released

During an hour long hearing Thursday, attorneys for Christopher Deedy argued for the release of the information.

They say it bolsters their argument that Deedy was acting under his duties as a state department agent when he shot and killed Kollin Elderts at a Waikiki Mcdonalds.

"There’s a substantial likelihood that the potential jury pool would be tainted and this would result in extreme prejudice against the state."

"I have no quarrel with the notion that the state’s entitled to a fair trial, but these things don’t occur in a vaccuum."

Circuit court Judge Karen Ahn says she will likely make a decision by Tuesday.
