Trial date set for deputy sheriff accused of abusing family member

The case against a deputy sheriff charged with abuse of a family member will go to trial.  James Kimura pled not guilty Tuesday morning.

A trial date is set for July 18th in District Court.

The Department of Public Safety placed Kimura on administrative leave after his arrest last month.
