Harrassment charges against HPD officer dropped

A Honolulu police officer has returned to full duty after having a harassment charge dropped.

The charge against Ikaika Silva was dropped in March after the complaining witness decided not to take part in a trial.

But the state had sixty days to refile charges.

Since it did not, the case is officially closed and HPD says Silva has had his police powers restored.
