The strong winds will hopefully help push all those floating lanterns away from the shoreline tomorrow. The annual lantern floating hawaii ceremony will start at 6p.m. at Ala Moana Beach park.
More than 40,000 people are expected to be there to watch as 3,500 lanterns illuminate the waters off Magic Island. It’s a way for people to remember and honor their loved ones this Memorial day.ndividual lanterns will be handed out starting at 1 p.m. on a first come first served basis.
