More than 400 kids took advantage of the good weather Saturday and some free swimming lessons.
The annual Swim Program kicked off Saturday at Ala Moana Beach Park.
It was put on by the Hawaii Red Cross to prevent drownings.
In hawaii, 50 people drown and 150 people nearly drown every year.
Classes for the keiki are held every Saturday through the summer.
Adult classes are held in the evening twice a week.
