Former Governor Linda Lingle launched her digital cable channel Monday for her campaign for U.S. Senate.
According to Oceanic Time Warner Cable, digital cable channel 110 displayed as "LL2012" in the channel guide, will mark the first time in U.S. campaign history that a political candidate will utilize a dedicated cable channel to interact with voters.
Campaign officials say the digital channel will provide viewers with information about Lingle’s positions on important issues affecting Hawaii and the nation, as well as a library of video messages, interactive polling opportunities and live coverage of key events on the campaign trail.
LL2012, digital channel 110, will provide on-demand information about Lingle’s campaign.
Digital cable users can utilize their interactive DVR remote to navigate the channel.
Former Republican John Carroll will challenge Lingle for the Republican nomination.
Rep. Mazie Hirono and Ed Case are vying for the Democratic nomination.
