35 papaya trees damaged in Keaau

Big Island police are looking for two men accused of damaging dozens of papaya trees at a farm in Keaau.

According to investigators, workers saw the men knocking the trees over Monday.

The two suspects left on bicycles but were later seen getting into a blue Toyota pick up truck.

In all, 35 trees were damaged.   

Losses are estimated at more than $1,700.

Anyone with information is asked to call Big Island police.
