The website is called readbensrecord.com. PRP says Cayetano’s campaign for Governor received more than a half million dollars in illegal contributions, and that Cayetano used a loop hole to avoid paying back the money to the campaign spending commission.
"He is the only person that has set a precedent like this that closed a campaign account down, reopened another state campaign account and basically did the equivalent of committing political bankruptcy," John White of Pacific Resource Partnership said.
"I didn’t have anything to do with it and the money is spent do you think its fair to go and ask the candidate to raise half a million dollars to pay people back the guys who made the illegal contributions they were prosecuted and they went to jail," Candidate for Honolulu Mayor, Ben Cayetano said.
PRP also formed a political action committee, which Cayetano calls a desperate act.
