On Maui, a man was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries after he got hit by a car.
It happened Saturday just after midnight on Hana highway in Kahului.
Police say the 27 year-old man, from Wailuku, was walking north bound along the highway when a car heading in the same direction hit him.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
Police say speed, drugs and alcohol may have played factors in the crash.
