Students from around the world have gathered in Hawaii this week for the international Botball Tournament.
The teams of students, from as far away as Austria and Qatar, created autonomous robots, which means the robots’ movements are programmed and not manually controlled.
This year’s game is titled go high or go low.
Steve Goodgame Botball’s executive director said, "So what’s really cool is these robots are all automatic so the kids program in artificial intelligence and even better than that everybody’s gunning for the two time international champion Hanalani Schools from right here in Hawaii."
There are 56 internationally recognized teams taking part, along with 11 Hawaii schools.
