City makes fresh local produce available to residents on welfare

The Kalihi Valley farmers market will accept food stamp debit cards on Saturday, August 25th.

Welfare recipients who spend $15 dollars that day, will get $30 dollars worth of tokens good for use any day, but only at the Kalihi Valley farmers market.

There will also be food demonstrations, samples and giveaways.
