UPDATE: North School Street reopened after hit-and-run accident

Honolulu police are investigating a hit and run accident in Liliha.

The crash happened around 7:30 Saturday night on North School street near the intersection of Liliha Street.

Police say the victim was apparently sleeping close to the road behind a utility pole with his left arm partially sticking out in the roadway.

Police say a vehicle ran over the man’s arm. Paramedics took him to the hospital in serious condition.

Police say the victim, is 58 years-old with no local address.

Police have opened a failure to render aid case and are still looking for the driver and vehicle.
