Sihk community holds memorial and prayer service for Wisconsin shooting victims

Two weeks ago a gunman opened fire at Sikh temple in Wisconsin killing six people and injuring four others before killing himself.

Sunday night members of Hawaii’s Sikh, Hindu and Indian communities held a memorial and prayer service for the victims.

It started at 5p.m. in Nuuanu.

"This was a hate crime act of of senseless violence crime against humanity," said Dr. Raj Kumar, Sikh believer. "To prevent such incidents in the future we need to understand more about different religions and culture who exist in america and learn to respect them."

First Lady Michelle Obama plans to travel to Wisconsin on Thursday to meet with the family members of those killed and injured in the shooting.
