Maui rescue crews saved a 56 year-old woman from a cliff near Keanae late Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. She was separated from her kayak while snorkeling in shallow waters near Honomanu Bay. She was reported missing by her boyfriend who was also diving in the area. Maui fire fighters saw her about a mile West of the area she was last seen at about 5 p.m. The victim was air lifted from her location on the cliffs and returned by helicopter back to the beach at Honomanu. She was unharmed and did not need medical attention.
