HPD celebrating Police Week with procession down Beretania Street

The Honolulu Police Department would like to inform motorists of temporary lane closures on Monday night due to a police memorial procession on Beretania Street.

The two makai lanes will be closed from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Ward Avenue to Punchbowl Street to ensure the safety of those marching in the procession.

The memorial procession is one of several events commemorating Police Week and is held annually to honor HPD officers killed in the line of duty.

A service and candlelight vigil will take place at the State Capitol Rotunda beginning at 6 p.m.

The service is open to the public.
