In his 38th season on the sideline, head coach Dave Shoji and his 8th ranked Rainbow Wahine volleyball team successfully opened 2012 with a lop-sided sweep of Albany at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Outside hitter Emily Hartong, making the move from the middle, was marvelous. She had 15 kills to go with nine digs, while running-mate Jane Croson went for 11 kills of her own.
UH broke out the brooms, 25-17, 25-6, 25-17. Wahine get Saint Mary’s tomorrow night at seven o’clock.
