A 58-year-old man is fighting for his life after nearly drowning in Waikiki.
Emergency Medical Services officials say the victim was a participant in an ocean swim race when lifeguards noticed him floating face-down in the water.
Officials say lifeguards immediately brought the man to shore and started CPR. He was later taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
