The Department of Defense identified a Hawaii-based soldier who died in Afghanistan.
Spc. Brian Riley, Jr. died Sunday in Kunar province.
The 24-year-old is originally from Longwood, Florida.
The government did not release details of his death.
Riley was assigned to the 25th infantry division at Schofield Barracks.
