Three men were sentenced to prison for defrauding Honolulu investors in a $1.6 million ponzi scheme.
Syed Gadri, Ruben Carrillo Gonzalez and Jeffrey Greenhut received prison sentences ranging between two years and four years behind bars.
Officials say the men operated two investment companies, and used the money from their scheme to purchase lavish homes, exotic cars and lease property.
In addition to prison time, they were ordered to pay restitution to their victims.
