Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Jacob Kahue

On this edition of Hawaii’s Most Wanted we feature a man who’s wanted on two warrants.

Honolulu police are looking for Jacob Kahue.

"On May 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., the victim parked his vehicle at the beach at Ko Olina, went for a swim and left his bag on the beach.  Upon returning, noticed his bag was missing and went back to his vehicle.  His vehicle had been broken into and items taken including his wallet and miscellaneous items. Security for Ko Olina reviewed the tapes and saw a male and a vehicle and license plate," said Sgt. Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers.

Police found the vehicle at Lualualei Beach Park, and arrested the driver, identified as Kahue.

The car had actually been stolen earlier in the day from Ala Moana Beach Park.
Police also recovered the items stolen from Ko Olina.

Jacob Kahue is now wanted on two $20,000 warrants in connection with that case, for not complying with the terms of HOPE probation.

He’s 40 years-old, 5’9" tall, 172 pounds.

"And he’s known to frequent the Waipahu, leeward area, and he has one prior conviction," Buffett says.

If you know where Jacob Kahue is call Crimestoppers at 955-8300.
