The state is making a change to address traffic problems caused by the closure of the Karsten Thot bridge in Wahiawa.
The Department of Transportation says during morning hours, between 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., one town-bound lane will be open to traffic. The state says this should help residents who have been struggling with delays because of the bridge closure. The bridge will remain closed to all traffic during the rest of the day.
The state is also hiring an additional crew to do work on the bridge during overnight hours. They say this should help keep the closure on schedule for 6 weeks.
We’ll have more on the changes and reaction tonight on the KHON2 News at 5, 6, and 10.
