Community concerns prompted Kauai police and state officials to take action against an illegal campsite at Hanapepe Beach Park.
Officials removed two vehicles, an illegal structure, and two trucks full of items last Thursday.
Police also arrested a man living at the site for drug offenses.
Officials say the public can take back this area of the park now that it’s clear of debris.
