Some elementary school students won some money by saving energy.
Pearl Ridge Elementary School students were presented with a check for $10,000 for winning the Hawaiian Electric Home Energy Challenge.
The challenge measured students’ families energy use over a six month period.
Pearl Ridge Elementary students were able to reduce their energy usage by over 6-percent, earning them the top prize.
