The Honolulu Police Department is upgrading its motorcycles.
By the end of June, the department will have 34 new BMW R1200 models to replace the oldest ones currently in the fleet.
The department will use the motorcycles to patrol the island, perform escort duty for parades and visiting dignitaries and participate in community events.
HPD first started using BMW motorcycles 12 years ago.
