Leilanie Coma Valenciano, appeared in Circuit Court on Tuesday May 17, 2011 and
pled not guilty to 9 counts of Theft in the First Degree and 228 counts of Falsifying Business Records. Valenciano, in her capacity as an Accounting Clerk for Gay and Robinson Company, is charged with falsifying the company’s accounting records in order to steal over $280,000.00 between April 2004 and December 2008.

Theft in the First Degree is classified as a class B felony offense, which carries a
maximum fine of $25,000 and 10 years imprisonment for each count. Falsifying Business
Records is a misdemeanor offense, punishable by a maximum fine of $2,000 and up to one year imprisonment for each count.
Valenciano’s case is set for jury trial before the Honorable Judge Kathleen Watanabe on
October 3, 2011.
