The state plans to investigate the origins of a huge metal container that washed ashore on the Big Island.
It was found on the rocky shore near Ka’u.
Along with looking into where the container came from the Department of Land and Natural Resources is also looking into how to remove it.
There is speculation the container could be tsunami debris, but unlike the other pieces that were confirmed, this container does not appear to be covered in barnacles and other marine life.
