Hawaii Airlines Flight 31 was delayed leaving Las Vegas Monday after a problem with one of its engines.
The flight was scheduled to leave Las Vegas at 10:30 a.m. and fly non-stop to Maui.
According to an airlines spokesperson, the starter for one of the engines malfunctioned, and after troubleshooting it was determined that the starter would need to be replaced. Officials say the part had to come from another airport prompting the delay.
Officials say the flight eventually departed at 6:35 p.m. and passengers were compensated.
