Dangerous surf on Oahu’s North Shore sent two people to the hospital Monday.
The waves are only going to get bigger as we already have the first high surf warning of the season due to go into effect.
Officials from the city’s Emergency Medical Services division are alerting the public to be cautious.
On Monday, lifeguards conducted more than 500 preventative actions, including warning people not to go in the water.
A 23-year-old woman and 14-year-old boy were injured at Waimea Bay.
Fortunately, they did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Officials have taped-off Sharks Cove and Three Tables. They also closed Waimea Bay at 6 o’clock as a precaution.
