Visitor rescued from Bamboo Forest Trail on Maui

A visitor from Washington was rescued from the Bamboo Forest Trail on Tuesday by Maui fire fighters. It happened about 12:45 p.m.

A 50 year-old woman slipped and broke her lower right leg. Rescue crews splinted her broken leg and stabilized her onto a backyard. She was carried out and transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center by Medics. Injuries were non life threatening.

The victim and her family were visiting from Tacoma, Washington.
