Retiring Senator Dan Akaka was honored on Thursday for his contributions to the community.
The 28th Annual Law Enforcement and Security Award Banquet was held at the Manoa Grand Ballroom.
The group presented Senator Akaka The Life-Time Achievement Award for the contributions he’s made over more than 30 years in politics. Other awardees included local, state and federal law enforcement agencies as well as security professionals from all islands.
