People onboard commercial boat spot body of missing diver

Maui firefighters found the body of the missing diver early Saturday morning. Officials say the 35 year-old man was reported missing around 3:00 a.m. Crews responded to Haycraft Park in Maalaea and searched the waters. Around 5:15 a.m., folks onboard a commercial boat named Quicksilver, spotted the diver floating face down in the ocean about a half mile from shore fronting the beach park. Rescue crews pulled the man’s body to shore and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The man’s identity has not yet been released.
