Allows users to adopt a tsunami siren in their neighborhood. They will take responsibility for the siren by checking to ensure its functuality and report on the status of the siren to the City. The application also allows users to name the siren and receive an email notification alerting them when the siren will be tested.

NIXLE will send alerts regarding emergencies such watches and warnings for tsunamis, flooding, and other Citywide information to your registered wireless device ad email accounts. Registration for NIXLE is free. Text message charge may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan., These charges will not be reimbursed by the City and County of Honolulu. When registering your cellular device, make sure it is capable of receiving email generated tet messages.
