Rock thrown at school bus after championship football game

A violent ending to a football game Saturday night.

Officials say a rock was thrown at a Roberts Hawaii school bus as it was leaving Campbell High School’s campus. It happened after a championship Junior Varsity game between Waianae High school and Campbell. Waianae beat Campbell 28-26.

Glenn Tokunaga, Waianae high school’s athletic director, said the incident happened on Fort Weaver road around 10 p.m.

The rock went through a window near the rear of the bus.

Tokunaga said three students were injured, all minor. Paramedics say two refused treatment at the scene.

Honolulu police have opened an investigation. Campbell high school officials are also investigating. No arrests have been made.
