Honolulu police were called to Kahuailani Street near Jimmy’s Produce around 7:30 p.m. Sunday after reports of an apparent shooting.
The incident happened at a residence near the Hans L’orange Park.
According to officials, a man was shot multiple times with a pistol.
Paramedics took a 39-year-old man to the hospital in serious condition.
At last check, the suspect has not been arrested.
Police have opened an attempted murder investigation.
