Maui County officials have reopened the beach area in Waihee after a shark attack was reported Sunday morning.
The beach was closed from Round Table to the Paukukalo River Mouth shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday.
Maui County Ocean Safety and the Department of Land and Natural Resources evaluated the area and reopened the beach at 11 a.m. Monday.
