The man accused of stabbing his 70-year-old grandmother in her Kaimuki apartment has been charged.
Charles Keali’i Amoy is being held on $500,000 bail.
Police say he allegedly stabbed his grandmother, Aileen Amoy, in her Waialae Avenue apartment at about 1 a.m. Friday.
Amoy fled the area, but was later located and arrested at Gateway House dormitory on the University of Hawaii Manoa campus.
